SAP EWM, Extended Warehouse Management, is a part of SAP Supply Chain Management like Warehouse Management System, but it provides more robust and advanced features to manage key activities in a warehouse.

SAP EWM is used to efficiently manage inventory in a Warehouse and for supporting processing of goods movements. This course is for SAP users, SAP consultants and, warehouse operators or Managers.

SAP EWM allows to subdivide SAP Inventory Management Storage Locations in different specific places and at the same time it offers all related functionality for the placement in Warehouses (Put away processes) and the removal from them (Stock Removal processes).

SAP ERP Central Component (ECC) is one of the most recognized assets that SAP owns. It is an enterprise resource planning software which consists in several modules that provide the organizations with great control over their key business processes.

SAP ECC is the core product within SAP Business Suite and should not be confused with SAP Business Suite. SAP Business Suite goes beyond the foundational modules and supports specialized.

SAP s/4 HANA it rebuilt SAP ECC from the ground up to create SAP S/4 HANA in 2015 to take advantage of SAP HANA’s performance and data analytics capabilities. S/4HANA is designed to solve complex problems and manage larger amounts of data than ECC and R/3.

Advantages of SAP EWM (Extended Warehouse Management (EWM)

Problem-free implementation - SAP EWM implementation will run on-time and on-budget. This methodology is based on a pre-configured system that is then adapted to your organization’s wishes by teams consisting of your own employees and consultants.

As dynamic as reality itself-SAP EWM will ensure an easier and more flexible way of working. In the older warehouse management systems, the basic setup is often a static and sequential process. Reality which you will be confronted with in the warehouse is that no day will ever run completely according to plan. Suppliers who make incomplete deliveries, goods that are rejected, or peripheral equipment that breaks down.

Satisfied customers and managers -In the EWM system, employees only work in a minimum number of essential, all-purpose screens. These will enable employees to start processes ranging from A to Z, and follow, or influence them.

Benefits of SAP ECC

  • The most important aspect of SAP ECC is the entire system can grow with the business. It is as dynamic and forward looking, as it includes strategy and business planning which are culled from accurate reports of actual performance.
  • SAP ECC is short for ERP Central Component, a direct descendant of the mainframe-based SAP R/2 and client server-based SAP R/3. The SAP ECC 6.0, being a more recent development.

In this SAP EWM (ECC AND S/4 HANA) course by Uplatz is a complete end-to-end course covering all topics.

FAQs

Study method describes the format in which the course will be delivered. At Reed Courses, courses are delivered in a number of ways, including online courses, where the course content can be accessed online remotely, and classroom courses, where courses are delivered in person at a classroom venue.

CPD stands for Continuing Professional Development. If you work in certain professions or for certain companies, your employer may require you to complete a number of CPD hours or points, per year. You can find a range of CPD courses on Reed Courses, many of which can be completed online.

A regulated qualification is delivered by a learning institution which is regulated by a government body. In England, the government body which regulates courses is Ofqual. Ofqual regulated qualifications sit on the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF), which can help students understand how different qualifications in different fields compare to each other. The framework also helps students to understand what qualifications they need to progress towards a higher learning goal, such as a university degree or equivalent higher education award.

An endorsed course is a skills based course which has been checked over and approved by an independent awarding body. Endorsed courses are not regulated so do not result in a qualification - however, the student can usually purchase a certificate showing the awarding body's logo if they wish. Certain awarding bodies - such as Quality Licence Scheme and TQUK - have developed endorsement schemes as a way to help students select the best skills based courses for them.
